What This Packages Does
-----------------------
This package provides the Window 95/98/NT4.0 drivers for Internal
Modem on ThinkPad 570.

Installation Guide
------------------

HOW TO INSTALL
--------------
 1. Start Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0.
 2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
 3. Click on Start -> Run...
 4. Type in "x:\<path name>\SETUP.EXE". Then click on OK.
    where x: is the drive letter
    and <path name> is the path you extracted the files to.
    Default path is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MODEM
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT VERSION IS INSTALLED

Date/Time of 3 files indicate by 'O' in the version as follow:
    Windows 95/98: LTModem.vxd, LTHomol.exe, LTMsg.exe
    Windows NT:    LTModem.sys, LTHomol.exe, LTMsg.exe

To check the date/time of these 3 files:

 Windows 95/98

 1. Start Windows 95/98.
 2. Click on 'Start' -> 'Find' -> 'Files or Folders...'.
 3. Click on the 'Name & Location' tab.
 4. In the 'Named:' field, type the each file name listed above table.
 5. In the 'Look in:' field, specify "Local Hard drives (C:,D:)".
 6. Click on the 'Find Now' button.

 Windows will now search your hard drive for the specified file. If the file is
 not found, then the Modem driver is not installed on your system.

 7. In the 'Found' part of the window, select the file name located
    in "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM".
 8. Scroll the window to the right and look at the 'Modified' column
    to check the date/time of the each file.

 Windows NT

 1. Start Windows NT.
 2. Click on 'Start' -> 'Find' -> 'Files or Folders...'.
 3. Click on the 'Name & Location' tab.
 4. In the 'Named:' field, type the file name listed above table.
 5. In the 'Look in:' field, specify "Local Hard drives (C:,D:)".
 6. Click on the 'Find Now' button.

 Windows will now search your hard drive for the specified file. If the file is
 not found, then the Modem driver is not installed on your system.

 7. In the 'Found' part of the window, select the file name located
    in "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32".
 8. Scroll the window to the right and look at the 'Modified' column
    to check the date/time of the each file.
