Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI Adapter Device Drivers
Version 1.03

This file contains information about the Netfinity Advanced System Management
PCI Device Drivers which allow an application, such as Netfinity Manager to
talk to the Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI adapter. The Netfinity
Advanced System Management PCI Device Drivers that are discussed in this
file are:
1) The Service Processor Driver, which interfaces to the service processor
hardware on the Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI adapter,
2) The Shared Serial Driver, which runs the shared serial port on the Netfinity
   Advanced System Management PCI adapter.

1.0 What's new in this version
_______________________________

This section describes the changes in this updated version of the
Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI Adapter Device Drivers.

1.1 Service Processor Driver timeout increased to 4 minutes for flash code
     update commands.

While executing flash code update commands, the Service Processor Driver
now uses a command timeout of 4 minutes. If a remote machine is being
flashed, the user must check that the wait time prior to shutdown / reboot
of the remote machine (set by the 6.3.1 command) plus the time for the
POST BIOS memory check, totals less than 4 minutes. If these parameters
take longer than 4 minutes on the remote machine, then the Service
Processor Driver will report an erroneous timeout, even though the remote
     flash command may have succeeded.

1.2 Service Processor Driver default timeout increased from 10 seconds
     to 45 seconds.

For all other commands (except commands involving flash code update), the
Service Processor Driver default command timeout has been increased from
     10 to 45 seconds.

1.3 Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI Device Drivers upgraded for
     Novell NetWare 5.0.

The Service Processor Driver and Shared Serial Driver have been upgraded
to include support for Novell NetWare 5.0. The same drivers can be used
for NetWare 4.x and 5.0 operating systems. For NetWare 5.0, an updated fix
for MPS14.PSM file (available in Support Pack 2 for NetWare 5.0) is
required. This file can be downloaded from Novell's web site:
                     http://support.novell.com

If this is a new installation of the Service Processor Driver on Novell
NetWare, you may encounter a problem during setup. Novell has moved some
of its infrequently used kernel function calls from CLIB.NLM to
CLIBAUX.NLM. For this reason, you need to make sure that CLIBAUX is
installed prior to installing the Service Processor Driver. If your
server does not have CLIBAUX.NLM, a copy can be obtained from Novell's web
     site:
                     http://support.novell.com

1.4 Netfinity Advanced System Management PCI Device Drivers added for
     SCO/UnixWare 7.1.0.

Please refer to the installation instructions for SCO/UnixWare.
