Instruction for use of ADDCPU program for NT3.51 on Server 325 & 330

NOTE : This utility is not required for the Japanese version of NT3.51
as this will install correctly as a Multi-processor PC

NT3.51 must be installed as a standard PC and not as a Uniprocessor
or Multiprocessor PC. To do this then on diskette 1 while the screen
says 'Setup is inspecting your hardware' press F5, after a delay you will
be presented with a list of machine types - choose 'Standard PC' and
continue. At a later stage you must also specify that you have a
Storage device driver diskette to be loaded and provide either the
IBMRAID or Adaptec diskette as appropriate. In the second stage of the
installation you must specify and provide the AMD ethernet diskette to
load the correct driver for the onboard ethernet. Do not select
the Non-VGA mode of NT3.51 until you have updated the Video driver with
the one on the diskette shipped with the system.

NT3.51 Service pack 5 must be obtained and expanded onto the Hard disk
in a directory of your choosing. Service pack 5 may be installed before
or after running ADDCPU but UPDATE.EXE of the service pack must always be
run after running ADDCPU.

There are two variations :

Without SP5 already installed :

1. The server machine currently has NT 3.51 Server installed w/one processor.
2. Plug in the second processor.
3. Run addcpu.exe. Do not reboot.
4. Run 'update.exe' from SP5
5. Reboot
You should now have 2 processors.

With SP5 already installed :

1. The server machine currently has NT 3.51 SP5 installed w/one processor.
2. Plug in the second processor.
3. Run addcpu.exe. Do not reboot.
4. Run 'update.exe' from SP5
5. Reboot
