NUISANCE RAID

The Soviets formed a long-range bomber
command known as the ADD (Aviatsia
Dalnego Deistvia, or "long-range
aviation") in the spring of 1942. Most
of the command was composed of IL-4 and
DB-3F aircraft, and some lend-lease B25s.
The true long-range Pe-8s rarely exceeded
10% of the overall strength of the ADD.
Missions of the ADD included air supply,
transport, and tactical bombing. Bombing
was normally in or immediately behind the
front lines. On occasion, night raids
deep behind the lines were mounted, but
without some type of guidance, the effect
was normally minimal.

MISSION

Your group of 3 Pe-8s have been chosen to
strike an ammunition dump. The first
waypoint will bring you due south of the
target for a good lineup. The two large
buildings are your primary target.

NOTES

This is a night mission. It is not
strictly historically based.
