Bennett's Light Night Striking Force
had developed into a potent weapon in
its own right by late 1944. The
Mosquitos of this unit made nuisance
raids on Berlin almost nightly until
the end of the war. In many ways, it
became a campaign in its own right -
a bombing effort supplementing the
Main Force, which couldn't fly every
night or was occupied elsewhere. These
raids were capable of causing quite a
bit of damage, especially since LNSF
Mosquitos were habitually armed with
4000-lb. bombs for the Berlin missions.
Since the Me262 had proven more than
the match for the Mosquito, which had
previously been virtually immune, one
of the primary tasks of the Me262B-1a-
equipped Kommando Welter was intercep-
tion of these troublesome Mosquitos.

ORDERS:
Berlin is again under attack, although
the ground controllers were to confu-
sed and impotent to decide what was
going on until your Me262B-1a flight
was already airborne. It has turned
out that it is only a Mosquito attack,
not a Main Force raid. Intercept as
many of these nuisance raiders as you
can.
NOTE: Do note use schrage musik or put
it on auto-fire; the Me262B-1a was not
equipped with this weapon.
