                      The A-36A "Apache"

The A-36 was basically a P-51B Mustang modified to make it
into a ground attack aircraft (hence the "A" designator.) It
had 6 x .50 caliber machineguns in the wings and had
provisions for 1,000 pound and 2,000 pound bombs, as well as
underwing rockets. Additionally, dive brakes were also
installed. Top speed was 388, the range was 400 miles and
the ceiling was 31,300 feet.
The Apache saw service in North Africa with the 27th and 86th
Fighter-Bomber Groups, as part of XII Air Support Command.

Press "B" to activate/retract the dive brakes.
