AIR SUPPORT OVER THALA

On the 22nd of February 1943, the battle
of Kasserine Pass was coming to a close.
Although the Americans had suffered
badly, the Germans were finally stopped.
In the Thala area, the defense was lumped
together under the ADC of the British 6th
Armored, Brigadier Cameron Nicholson.
His headquarters soon became known as the
"Nickforce." Both sides conducted heavy
airstrikes on each other's ground forces,
but the opportunity to capture Thala
slipped away as the Allies built up and
the Germans switched to the defensive.

MISSION

Take your A36A's from the 27th Fighter-
Bomber Group on a strike against the
Germans who have halted on the road from
Kasserine to Thala. The meaning of
"fighter-bomber" will become clear as you
will be forced to defend the "Nickforce"
from inbound German planes.

NOTES

This is a day mission.
