x = Jumpers at the shipment

The following jumpers are accessible for the user (use green jumper
plugs, as for J8 use blue jumper plugs):

  SCSI ID setting jumper J8
  SCSI bus parity jumper J8
  Terminator power on/off jumper JP5
  Write protected jumper JP4
  Motor Auto-start option jumper JP2
  Synchronized spindle jumper JP3
  Synchronized spindle Terminator JP7
Synchronized spindle signal connector J7 Pins 1-2, 3-4

Note: The DK516C jumpers other than listed above are installed by the
manufacturer (black jumper plugs) and must not be modified or
 replaced by the user.

Note: Terminator power source is supplied to the terminator resistor
module from the host that pulls up the SCSI interface signals in the
controller so that the SCSI bus lines will not be pulled down when
 DK516C power is turned down.

 JP4 Write Protected
 --------------------
CLOSED Write protected. The disk can be only read and cannot be
             written.

Whenever you change the orientation of the drive it is recommended to
 reformat the disks.

 Mounting
 --------
In order to prove the shock protection ability, design the cabinet of
a system as described in below.

 - Fix the drive with four screws by using the proper 4 screw holes
(total of 8 holes) of the drive.
 - The insertion depth of the mounting screws below the drive surfaces
   must be less than
                     3.5mm (0.14inch) for side holes
5 mm (0.2 inch) for bottom holes

 Sequential Activation of Motors
 -------------------------------
When multiple disk drives are connected and turned on simultaneously,
a large amount of current will flow. It is recommended to turn the
motors on one by one at an interval of approx. 35 seconds. Indication
of "READY" on the last drive reports that all drives have been
 activated.
