  - The BitBlt striping turned on. Implemented 16-bit registers instead of 
    32-bit.
  - Frame Buffer bursting has been enabled for the 5465AF and higher chips.
  - Write Combining has been turned on for the frame buffer on CPU's with MTRR
    registers.
  - Added shadow registers for DRAWBLTDEF and BGCOLOR registers. This reduces 
    the number of write to these registers.
  - Several enhancements now allow WinBench 98 to run with GBP turned on. 
  - Changed the way the host data is sent to the chip when GBP is off. This 
    reduces the bus latency.
  - Registry switch ('LowRes') to enable low-resolution modes. By default, 
    low-res modes are disabled.

  - Added support for CL-GD5465 AF silicon.  Removed errant code that makes 
    previous release specific to AD and earlier silicon. 
  - Enabled 256-byte-fetch mode for CL-GD5465 AF silicon.  
  - Provided a new, faster, memory manager.  The off-screen heap management 
    code was rewritten to provide better 2D performance.
  - Added a new Monitor Selection property sheet. A Monitor Selection tab was 
    added to the Display Properties page.  Using this page prevents the driver 
    from offering the user modes that they cannot use.
  - Enabled DirectDraw modes below 640x480.  
  - Overhauled the install files.  Unused install files were removed and several 
    changes were made to support unattended installation.
  - The text-mode boot screen is no longer displaying the version string.  
    Displaying this string was causing problems with unattended install.
  - Hardware color translation was removed.  A bug was discovered in the 
    hardware color translation code, so this code was disabled until the 
    problem could be identified and fixed.

  2.0 Installing the Device Drivers
  _________________________________

  1.  Select Control Panel from the Main group.

  2.  Select the Display icon.

  3.  Select Change Display Type.

  4.  Select Change from the Adapter Type area.

  5.  Select Other.

  6.  Place the Windows NT Installation Disk into drive A.

  7.  Select Install and click on Yes when the Installing Driver
      dialog box appears.

  8.  When the Windows NT Setup dialog box appears, select drive A,
      and click on Continue.

      A message appears stating that the drivers were successfully 
      installed.  

  9.  Click on OK.  

  10. Restart Windows NT.
