1.  Product Specifications

    Overview
    --------
    IBM ARTIC Support for Windows 98 is a package of program services that
    provides an interface between applications running under Windows 98 and
    tasks running on the ARTIC adapter.

    The product consists of the following components:
    - Device driver to allow Windows 98 applications to interface with tasks
      on an ARTIC adapter
    - Application loader utility to load task files to the ARTIC adapter
    - Online dump utility to dump ARTIC adapter memory and hardware context
    - Dump formatter utility to produce a dump report for analysis
    - Display utility to display ARTIC adapter data structures
    - Diagnostics utility to detect hardware problems
    - C Language interface routines to provide a programming interface for
      system unit programs to the IBM ARTIC Support for Windows 98 device driver
      and any installed ARTIC adapters
    - Include file for development of Windows 98 applications that use the device
      driver
    - Include file for development of Windows 98 applications that use the C
      Language routines to interface with the IBM ARTIC Support for Windows 98
      device driver

      -- Microsoft Macro Assembler Version 5.1
    - Microsoft Visual C/C++ Compiler Version 4.2 to develop system
      unit applications that interface with the IBM ARTIC Support for
      Windows 98 device driver
    - Realtime Interface Co-Processor C Language Support Version 1.03.01 to
      develop ARTIC adapter tasks in C Language

2.  Download the Package File to the Target System

    a. Download the self-extracting file W98110W.EXE to a
            temporary directory.

    b. Uncompress the package file by typing:

            W98110W x
                    (where x is the temporary directory)
