Brief Description of Announcement, Charges, and Availability

       IBM announces a new addition to the RT PC (TM) family to
provide a product offering for customers requiring added security
measures.  The IBM 6150-T25 RT PC has been manufactured to a design
to meet the U.S. government specification NACSIM 5100A (referred to
herein as TEMPEST).  The product is intended for customers who need
to reduce their susceptibility to unauthorized acquisition of
electromagnetic emission from their systems.  The IBM 6150-T25 system
includes the 6150-T25 RT PC and the IBM 6155 Model T01 Extended
Monochrome Graphics Display.
       Purchase Price:  $29,500 (including 6155-T01)

DESCRIPTION
       The IBM 6150 Model T25 and the IBM 6155 Model T01 Extended
Monochrome Graphics Display are functionally equivalent to the IBM
6150 Model 125 and the IBM 6155 Model 001 display, respectively.  The
new models have a unique mechanical/electrical design that reduces
electromagnetic radiation.

COMPATIBILITY:  The IBM 6150-T25 and 6155-T01 are functionally
equivalent to the IBM 6150 Model 125 and 6155 Model 001.  For more
detail, refer to Product Announcements 187-021, dated February 17,
1987, for the IBM 6150 Model 125, and 186-007, dated January 21,
1986, for the IBM 6155 Model 001.
LIMITATIONS:  This machine has unique ordering requirements.  For
additional information, contact your IBM marketing representative.
Field installable options are not available on this machine.  Desired
configurations other than this offering must be submitted as RPQs.
PLANNING INFORMATION
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES:  The IBM 6150-T25 is designated as
customer setup.  The customer is responsible for unpacking and setup
of the unit following the setup instructions.  The IBM 6150-T25
Planning and Preparation Guide (GC23-0833) will assist in preparing
for installation.  To order, contact your IBM representative.
CABLE ORDERS:  Separate cable orders are not required.  Appropriate
cables are shipped with system.
PROBLEM DETERMINATION:  When a system error occurs, the customer is
responsible for running the diagnostics in order to determine the
failing unit.
PACKAGING:  The IBM 6150-T25 system unit, the IBM 6155-T01 display,
keyboard, line cord, and external options are packed in separate
cartons.  An additional carton contains the warranty card and the IBM
6150-T25 Setup, Operation, and Problem Determination and IBM 6150-T25
Hardware Maintenance and Service manuals.
SECURITY, AUDITABILITY, AND CONTROL
       This product reduces emissions.
       User management is responsible for evaluation, selection, and
implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and
appropriate controls in application systems and communications
facilities.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
VOLUME DISCOUNT:  Volume purchasing is available under the Volume
Procurement Amendment (VPA) to the Agreement for Purchase of IBM
Machines.  The announced product is included in Category G, Discount
Group 2 of the Intermediate Systems and Related I/O Exhibit
(Z125-3993).

IBM CREDIT CORPORATION FINANCING:  Installment payment plans are
available for commercial and state and government customers.
