Installing Multiple Boards into One PC

The following modifications must be made in order to run multiple
CFAX boards (Up to three) in a single PC. Note: This
configuration will not support automatic or background printing
of faxes.

First, each CFAX must be installed in a separate directory (i.e.
C:\FAX, C:\FAX2, C:\FAX3) with each board set to a unique
address.

The AUTOEXEC.BAT file must be modified to remove the path
statement references to the C:\FAX, and C:\FAX2 directories. In
order to load each copy of CFBACK, the AUTOEXEC.BAT file must be
changed to read:

CD\FAX
CFBACK /N
CD\FAX2
CFBACK /N
CD\FAX3
CFBACK /N

The routine listed above will load each copy of CFBACK for each
board. The /N loads CFBACK without the HotKey routine, which is
not supported with this istallation.

Background print must be set to No in each copy of CFAX software.
Enter the CFAX main menu, press F7 for Special Features, F7 again
for Fax Configuration. Set Automatic Print to N. F10 to save
your changes.

All of the fax directories except C:\FAX must have the .EXE files
modified, so that each is unique. Using some type of utility
program such as Norton or PC Tools, look for and modify the
following code:

                        -AX ResidentCode

The - will be an A, Z, or W. Change the string to read:

                        -AXnResidentCode

The n will be the board number. For example, the board installed
in C:\FAX2 would have all the .EXE files in the directory read:

                        -AX2ResidentCode

Finally, the copyright statement must be changed to reflect the
board number. For example:

                  (c)nCopyright the Complete PC

Where n is the board number.

The -AXnResidentCode can be found in 36 files with 53 occurences.
The following is a list where it occurs. Those indicated with a
(2) means it appears twice in that file.
