Graphics Adapter

Note: Refer to Faxback Doc. # 2093 for this board layout.

Remember to set  your computer for Monochrome or Color display:

     Color or Monochrome switch settings are available in the CPU manual 
     under the "video" file.

Monochrome Mode:

This mode runs Hercules-compatible monochrome graphics and text
software on a monochrome monitor.

Note: Graphics software written for an IBM-compatible Color/Graphics 
Adapter will not run in this mode.

Setting Jumpers for Monochrome Mode:

Place a jumper on E6 - E7 only.

Color Mode:

This mode runs IBM-compatible Color/Graphics and Plantronics 
Enhanced Graphics software on an RGB or composite color monitor.

Setting Jumpers for Color Mode:

Place jumper on E1 - E2 only.

Note: If the DDGA is powered up in the Monochrome Mode, the Monochrome 
diagnostics will operate properly.  However, the Color diagnostics will 
not operate.  In order for the Color diagnostics to operate, the DDGA 
must be powered up in Color Mode.

Note: For the Hercules Mode to operate properly, the DDGA must be powered 
up in the Color Mode and switched to the Mono Mode using the VMODE command 
on the DDGA Utilities Diskette. Refer to Faxback Doc. # 2091 for information
on how to use this Utility.

Video port address range 3B0-3BF Hex for Monochrome
