What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
The Video Features Diskette I for Windows 3.1 drivers:
 - Improve the drawing performance on the display
 - Provide resolution up to 1024x768
 - Provide various color depths: 256, 64K, or 16M

The following models are supported:
   - ThinkPad 365X, 365XD
   - ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, 760LD
   - ThinkPad 760E (see note 1), 760EL (see note 2), 760ELD

   Notes:
     1. The ThinkPad 760E with an SVGA (800x600) panel is supported.
     2. The ThinkPad 760EL except machine type 9547-x4G, 9547-x4K
        and 9547-x4T is supported.

 - (Fix) The Windows desktop cannot be set to 1024x768 resolution
         with 256 colors when a ThinkPad computer has a Pentium
         120M-Hz processor installed and the display device is set to
         CRT-only.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs in
         256-color mode when a 16M-color bitmap file is opened with
         Paintbrush.

 - (New) Support for ThinkPad 760E.
 - (Fix) The DOS full screen (VGA mode 12h) is corrupted
         when switching to the DOS full screen mode from the Windows
         desktop.
 - (Fix) The DOS full screen is not synchronized in some BIOS levels
         when switching to CRT-only mode from LCD-only for the display
         device.

 - (Fix) The mouse pointer stops momentarily while
         BDXPC5.EXE (PC/3270 IWS) is running in the Windows background.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when printing
         with the IBM 5586-H02 image printer driver.

 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when
         starting up the TranXit.

 - (New) Conventional memory usage for the display driver is reduced.
 - (New) The default is set to the LCD size (LCD-only) or
         the maximum resolution on a CRT monitor (CRT-only).
 - (Fix) The font is corrupted when a big font is displayed
         at ScreenShow with Freelance Version 2.1.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when a bitmap
         file is opened on FoxPro.
 - (Fix) (DSTN LCD models only)
         A blackout occurs on returning to the Windows desktop
         with 64K colors, when the display device was switched to
         LCD from  CRT in DOS full screen mode.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when
         printing to an HP DeskJet printer.

 - (Fix) A blackout occurs in DOS full screen when the LCD expansion
         option is set to ON in the ThinkPad 535 computer that is
         configured for 640x480 resolution with 64K colors.
 - (Fix) The Styled underline printed by AmiPro to a BJC-400J printer is
         not correct.
 - (Fix) On 64K color mode, colors of the bitmap in the help file may
         not be correct.

 - (Fix) Windows does not start only on VL machine with Version 1.12.
 - (Fix) Half of the screen corrupts in DOS full screen
         (graphics mode) with Version 1.12.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when
         a bitmap file is opened with FoxPro 2.6.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when
         a bitmap file is saved with AutoCAD.

 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs when trying to
         print on some applications.
 - (Fix) A Windows general protection fault occurs in
         Win-Install 4.0 in 64K color mode.

 - (Fix) Reduce free memory in GDI heap.
 - (Fix) Blackground color is changed to black in 64K color mode
         with some applications.


Installation Guide
------------------
1. Start DOS and go to the Windows directory (usually C:\WINDOWS).
2. Type SETUP and press Enter.
3. Using the cursor move keys, highlight the Display field; then
   press Enter.
4. Highlight Other (Requires disk ...) in the list and press Enter.
5. Insert the Video Features Diskette I for Windows 3.1 into the
   diskette drive.
6. Make sure that the path is set to A:\.
7. Press Enter.
8. Select your favorite display resolution and color depth;
   then press Enter.
9. Follow the instructions on the screen.
