4 Transaction Server for OS/2 V4.0 contains the following components:
  • CICS OS/2 V3.0 (program services recently extended to December 31st,1998)
  • CICS Clients V1.1 (services end date still March 12th,1998)

 5 CICS OS/2 V3.0 is only shipped as part of Transaction Server for OS/2 V4.0.

6 CICS Clients V1.1 is only shipped as part of Transaction Server for OS/2 V4.0 and Transaction Server for AIX V4.0.

7 Transaction Server for AIX, Version 4 features in one, integrated package:
  • CICS for AIX (V2.1.1)
  • CICS Systems Manager for AIX (V1.1.0)
  • CICS Clients (V1.1.0)
  • Encina for AIX (V2.2.0)
  • CICS Internet Gateway for AIX (V1.1.0)
Transaction Server for AIX V4.1 is only supported on AIX V4.1.x and AIX V4.2.x. For up to date information on the current status of all products supported on the various AIX V4 platforms please Click Here.

8 The original program services dates, as mentioned in the announcement letter, for CICS for AIX V2.11 and Encina V2.20 have been extended to 30/09/1998 (Click here for this new announcement). The end of program services date for all the other components mentioned above is still 30/04/1998.

9 IBM CICS (R) for SINIX V2.1 has been withdrawn from marketing in Software Withdrawal : Cross Platform Applications 997-381. To view this click here.

10 This service level is a complete product refresh: it can be either be ordered from IBM Manufacturing in Copenhagen or from RETAIN using the PTF number supplied above.
